Exploring the Irish Media and Professions

Point Park University in Pittsburgh, Pennsylvania, USA has developed a Spring 2010 semester course Exploring the Irish Media and Professions. 21 School of Communication graduate and undergraduate students and 4 faculty are involved in the six on-campus preparation classes and the two weeks of study and travel in Ireland in May.

Departure Eve

The suitcases are packed and under weight! That means room to bring home some Irish treasures! We are all wishing on four leaf clovers that our flight to Dublin takes off and lands safely. The volcanic ash cloud has been responsible for the closing of the Irish airports off and on the last few weeks. We are hopeful that May 8 is a day of an open Dublin airport. We have many wonderful adventures ahead and the Irish weather looks extremely promising!

Our tour leader, Rachel Bourn of Cultural Connections, is already enroute. She's arranged for us the most fantastic itinerary focused on the Irish media . I expect to have lots of interesting information to share in the next couple of weeks.
